Having finished Thief Gold after 46h 10m of playtime, I can see where Dishonored draws most of its inspiration from. At first, I thought I had to lower my expectations in order to appreciate the game. However, a lot of what makes Thief special still holds up very well, even when compared to its more refined spiritual successors.
