This game is a more than decent piece of pinball games from every which angle. Very nice graphics, solid physics, good table design. the only draw-back of the game is the lack of tables I'd say. Despite of the two more preferred, better-designed tables, Pure Pinball lacks to offer a wider variety of pinball tables and hence better replay value. the only fault of the game in my opinion.
Almost an excellent pinball game. despite of some minor design errors Dream Pinball 3D is an exceptionally good pinball game sometimes undeservedly under-valued by critics. This pinball game makes real pinball tables just more fun in ways a computer can help this instead of making it super-realistic, although not leaving realism behind. Excellent mood, design of tables and a really nice collection of music pieces. Although I have never had problems with the DRM of the original disc I'm sure GOG makes it easier to launch. I can only advise this game to all pinball-lovers. Trivia: The original PC title featured a Two Worlds table of the Two Worlds RPG game. The table was redrawn with an Amber Moon theme due to marketing issues around console implementations. The two tables are almost identical. So there is no surprise the Amber Moon table is of somewhat RPG style. Tip: If you want the game to look even better, pull down the HDR slider in graphics settings. It will make the environment darker and will let light effects prevail even more.
I remember playing this game over and over again spending hours in front of the screen with my brother. The multiplayer co-op mode kept us down in the chair. Extremely fun, very nice graphics compared to other games of the time of the same genre, and the music was really well composed to create the atmosphere. And still one of the best games to play at one computer for two.
I remember when I first played this game. Awsome graphics of the time just kept me sitting infront of my PC pressing the forward key. This game offers a fast way of hiting pure fun. Actually the gameplay is nothing worse the today's games of the same genre like Outrun C2C remakes.
I remember loading this game again and again down in our basement on our 286 PC. I just loved the animated figures as a kid. It was only a couple of years later I figured how to play chess well. The first couple of ten times we were just trying to get each piece battled with a different other one to see all the animations. For professional chess playing the game could be somewhat frustrating but as pure entertainment it is a really good value.
Since I am from the country this game comes from I knew everything about the game by the time it was released. Everything I heard about it made my mouth water. When I finally bought it my jaws just droped. It was an experience in videogaming I have never seen before. It was pure freedom and fun. I still play it today from my original disc. If you like driving and want to see something still new from such an elderly game, take this one in your cart!
