Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

Good game! Kind of slow and Janky though

The only familiarity I had with Blood Omen was Soul Reaver 2, but I had a desire of going through the series to understand the full story. The first game is so well written, the atmosphere and design of the world, the story and characters, and the amount of detail that they were able to put in with the hardware limitations, you can tell that the team wanted to deliver a great story-rich game. You get so many different abilities and items to use, Armor, weapons, you explore a huge map and fight enemies on your way, everything that you pick up has an in-universerve explanation of how it functions or why it exists. The way Kain Narrates everything when you enter a place or pick up an item for the first time felt like I was getting a Lovecraftian writer to tell me a story. Even the FMV cut scenes were pretty good, graphic and got the point across. The game overall has so much potential to be a masterpiece but I think the years have not been so kind to it. The overall pace feels really slow, Kain walks incredibly slow and some weapons make you walk slower. there were even times when enemies or traps would go slightly too fast and I wouldn't be able to dodge them. The Hitboxes are not great either, sometimes the enemy would hit me when I wasn't even in their proximity and other times I wouldn't hit the enemy while other times the enemy wouldn't hit me at all. After a while, I kind of just wanted the game to be over because the dungeons felt repetitive towards the end. The boss fights were cool but some of them could of been done better and suffered from the hitbox problem. Overall Blood Omen was a fun game that I would only experience/play once. The game is in dire need of a remaster that can revitalize the franchise. The story is great and the world-building is amazing, for that alone I would recommend it but if you want something a little bit fast and can't stand slow-paced gameplay then I would say to skip this game and just watch a lore video about it.

FUBAR

This is the most fucked up, synical, brutal, deranged game I have ever played in my life. Its got a little cute and charming theme to it, wow its such an innocent game! look how cute it is! This game is a fucking lie. The first 3 worlds are not so bad, they were enjoyable and it really plays into the trial and error where after a few tries you get the hang of it, but those last 2 worlds, not even, the second half of the 4th world and the 5th world entirely was a CIA torture protocol. I replayed almost every single fucking level hundreds of time only to be rewarded with more misery, dread and pain. The ammount of times I had to replay a level just so I can beat it once was inmesuarble. Those fucking boxes taunt and mock you, you can even hear them laugh at you at times while they see you repeatedly start the level over and over and over and over just so you can fail again and again one time after the other. And the cheery fucking music just makes you question your sanity even more every single time you restart. Someone once said Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result. I experienced Insanity playing this. If you 100% this game you have a fucking mental issue, you have to be botherline psychotic to even consider 100% the game. This game is quite literealy almost fucking imposible in some levels. The game expects you to be so fucking perfect in your executions in some levels that there is literally no margine for error. You have to be so fucking quick and responsive and perfect on your timing that if youre even 10 fucking miliseconds off you fail the whole thing and you have to start over. and then when you finish the game, its all cheery and shit and its all like "Thanks for playing my game!" FUCK YOU. FUCK. YOU. This game is a demonic entity in disguise.
