STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II (Classic, 2005)

Nostialgia

I just really love the original Battlefront Ⅱ. It's just so janky, in the best, most earnest way.

Manor Lords

City painter meets Dwarf Fortress

A lot less depth than the titles comparison might entail but you do have to manage logistics and families, so the pond is quiet wide (and very pretty). Not to mention how comfy the game is. Population satisfaction and sustinance are growing pains and the only sources of tention in the beginning. Later military supply, management and engagements pretty much became the only concerns for progress but at that point the economy was already rolling and the difficulty fell off sharply. Other scenarios might change up the challange levels of these factors become difficult but from my time the game was very chill. Sound design currently doesn't have alot of variety but everything present is excellent. I'd compare the lack of music variety to that of Minecraft -in that the music present is very good but sparse use of it to balance its limited quantity- therefore the game is fit to listen to one owns playlist, podcast or audiobooks.
