This is pretty much what you wanted: More HuniePop! It's got some fun new features, so it's not exactly the same, but it's still a very competent match 3 game, an "ok" dating sim, and a good chuckle - it's periodically pretty funny. Some of the hunies from part one make a return (sadly not my favourite ones) and they're written mostly the same, and they're still good. Unfortunately, for reasons beyond comprehension, the GOG version is saddled with censorship. There's ways around that, of course, but a bad call that just adds needless annoyances for those of us who want the whole game - I wish I'd known before I made that day one purchase!
I'll get this out of the way first: As of version 1.04, the game suffers from a number of annoying bugs, some of which are potentially gamebreaking. This game is great! It's a very good representation of Pathfinder, which in itself is a great fit for this type of game. The way the feats are arranged make it a bit hard to easily tell which ones made it into the game and which ones didn't, but it's still very close. Aside from the Pathfinder rules, the game works pretty much like Baldur's Gate, except things are a bit more convenient for things like formations, keeping track of what round you are in, how long til your spell will go off, and so on. The story starts out kind of "meh", but I was so enthralled by the gameplay right from the start that I didn't really mind, and the story does get better later. I like the characters that join your group; they're all different from eachother, and some just instantly click for me, and I never want them out of the party. The "barony management" part of the game is decent - I like that it's there, and it adds to the story, but it's definitely not the main draw for me. Music and sound are both above average for this genre. In conclusion, this is a 5/5 game dragged down by bugs and unreasonable loading times.
Cuphead is charming, with great graphics, sound and music. The controls aren't half bad either, but they are hampered somewhat by the very spotty support for gamepads. It supports the xbox controller, but the face buttons, not to mention the nearly useless d-pad, are ill-suited to this type of game. I wish I could use a better controller, but unfortunately not even with joy2key could I get it to work. Unfortunately, this seems to be a trend, as River City Ransom Underground and Ori both have this same problem (though for Ori you can at least fix it with a lot of fiddling). If you're happy using an xbox controller, that's great, but I have to take points off for this.
I'm a bit torn - on the one hand, I love the return of old school puzzley dungeon crawls, and I think the game does a good job of it. Unfortunately, I can only play for short periods, because the flicker of the torhces is apparently triggering my migraines (it seems to be mostly when they're about to go out). Designers couldn't know that (I would never have guessed it myself), and they shouldn't be penalized for it, but if you suffer from migraines, I recommend you try it for a bit before you buy, or make sure you can return it.
