Overall, I liked the art direction, sound work is solid, story is a little generic with an "artsy fartsy" pretension, but overall I enjoyed it for a while. Eventually, you're required to start doing "bomb" jumps, kick jumps and similar with controls that aren't responsive enough to be fluid. It feels very forced, a bit janky, and eventually you have to fight a boss that cannot be beaten without these mechanics. I may come back to it and try again, but while it was doable, even for an average player like myself, it was where the game stopped being fun. I got the game for free, so it's easy to put it down and move on, but would have been genuinely galling if I paid full price. Still, very enjoyable up until that point.
