I remember playing this game on CGA as a kid and wanted to like it as an adult, but that did`t work out .. I never understood why Sierra made their games so frustrating. This one has a lot going for it, great setting, interesting story and almost all you need, but, alas, you can screw up the whole game by not talking to a person or by not picking up an item at a certain time. You won`t be able to finish the game, but the game does not tell you and you fail about 2 hours later. That is just unfair and disrespectful to the player. In my opinion this is the main reason why Lucasarts Games are better, they don´t let you fail on purpose. Still, this game is fun, but flawed.
I remember playing this game with my best friend on his PC in EGA-Mode, In English (I´m from Germany). We were 12 years old, had to look up almost every word in the dictionary and boy, did we we have a great time. And although it has some difficult and maybe even frustrating parts, it still holds up very well today. If you like Lucasfilm Games you have played it anyways, if not, just get ist. Great, great game...
