I love Metal Gear Solid and I doubt you need me to tell you how good it is, so instead I'll just say this is a really solid port. It worked straight away and I was even able to use my PS4 controller with it no problem. The only issue I've had so far is some minor lag whenever a character is using stealth camoflage but that oesn't happen too often anyway.
The games are all a lot of fun, obviously everyone knows the AI blatantly cheat but it's still a good time. The hard part about playing these games is getting a controller to work with it. Using Doxbox's mapping feature you can get it to work eventually but it refused to use my d-pad. Why? No idea. But the solution was to go into the game's config and change the joystick type to a flightstick. It's a PS4 controller and not a flightstick in the slightest but hey, as long as it works. After I figured that out it was smooth sailing into fighting against cheap AI.
The game itself is fun, I know a lot of people don't like MK4 but I really have no problems with it. Most people are gonna play this with a controller because it's a fighting game, and for the most part my PS4 controller worked great with it. However, it wouldn't let me use the d-pad for movement/combos. Just a personal thing but I don't like playing fighting games on a stick. Other than that I enjoyed it but the stick killed it for me.
