The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™

Why is this on GOG?

Literally the worst game ever. I cannot believe GOG is selling it. Avoid. Do not spend even a dollar on the mess. Go give a 20$ bill to a homeless person. It will bring you more joy and an hour of this game.

Cyberpunk 2077

Great Game, Great story, Great Fun.

though It is a little buggy, It is my personal game of the year. I haven't ran into a lot of the issues others are having.

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game

I really enjoy gwent

I love card games and played Magic, Hearthstone, and even the weird elder scrolls and riot games ones, this is by far my favorite. the play style is really interesting and there are a lot of strategies that you can pull off for dynamic games that rarely feel one sided. do you win round one so you can have card advantage in round 3? do you try to bleed as many cards as you can? do you use your combo in round 2 and try to win even though you have less cards but you have your combo? As a product review, I give this game 5/5. I have tossed maybe 30 bucks into the game and feel happy to support CDPR. (I played a little in the beta and was rewarded with 20,000 scraps, enough to really make a solid deck) currently, I have 3 really solid decks and am looking forward to making more. There are some bugs, the interface is slowly improving over time, the gameplay feels balanced, I find the meta interesting and have seen success with off meta builds. My biggest compaint is that the reward system penalized me really hard with the geralt and dandelion adventure because I didn't have the ability to make a nilfgard deck and needed to play aristocrats to get the weekly bonus. I only had a skeilege and an elf deck at the time and it was like an impassible wall. I think they understood that and actively attempting to adjust the rewards.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

A Masterpiece in its own right

This game allowed me to experience something I never would have been able to otherwise. I have great sympathy for those who have mental illness but never actually had a taste of what it was like before playing this. There is no leveling up, no skill tree, no fast travel, no HUD, no bullettime button mashing, just a beautiful game that tells a great linear story. it is slowly paced at times, intense, interesting, and original. The game made me scared, hopeful, desperate, and see through the eyes of Senua. it is worth your time to play this game.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

A Fun and Interesting Experience

I enjoy playing Thronebreaker. it makes you think out side the box to complete challenges. I enjoy the different interactions of the cards and trying over again a couple times till you get it right. unlike Gwent, Thronebreaker gives you a two lane system for your cards instead of a three lane setup. I'm not sure why CD Projekt Red made this change but it works well and doesn't feel clunky, messy, or too simple either for a single player experience. This game makes me want to play more Gwent!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

Why do I feel the need to buy it again?

I have played this game on Xbox before I could afford a decent gaming PC, then I bought it again on Steam, and now that I discovered Good Old Games, I feel the urge to buy it again. especially since it goes on sale all the time for 15$. The idea of having such a masterpiece of a game completely DRM-free is wonderful. I recieved the first witcher game for free with the purchase of a graphics card back on release and since then, the witcherverse is my all time favorite videogame series. Hell, even playing the first and second one over again in 2018 was truly an amazing experience and fun beyond belief. Graphics for the Witcher 3 10/10 whether you play vanilla or modded, this game looks great. the characters voices match their mouths and mannerisms, the world is beautiful. my only qualm is when you are wearing a specific armor set and geralts chin goes through the collar of the shirt. this led to me picking armor sets that were weaker or looked cooler on geralt rather than worrying about stats. yes, it bothered me that much Story 11/10 I typically play video games for the story and immersion and no other video game to date in almost 4 years since release has been able to do that. The game gave me chills, thrills, happiness, saddness, anger and made me fall in love with the characters again and again. the adventure is so compelling, even the sidequests are amazing and interesting. Sound 10/10 I listen to the soundtrack all the time. It truly is that good. Combat 8/10 I like the combat, but it really has aged a bit in the past 4 years. on release I loved it. then I played dark souls, more recent RPG titles such as shadow of war, and other games titles and came back to this one to find the combat lacking a little. it was still fun and I enjoyed watching geralt swing his sword in a dance of death, but it surely has aged. I never learned how to use bombs effectively. Overall 10/10 My favorite game to date and waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 to knock me out of the park
