I'm sure there are plenty reviews pointing this out already but to reiterate, Troika were rushed by Activision to get this product out the door, the game would've come out much earlier if it hadn't been for Valve enforcing a rule that says any third-party source engine game cannot be released until Half-Life 2 ships. This is why the game released on the same day as Half-Life 2, it was the earliest possible date that it could be shipped. Activision were adament to get this out as soon as possible, I cannot imagine what state the game would've been in had the game released any earlier. I have tried to install this patch before and it involves a bit of reading and time to make sure it is installed properly, GOG has streamlined this and I am really glad. This game deserves a chance from anyone interested in RPGs and it is almost necessary to use this patch.
