Mafia City of Lost Heaven is one of the best games I'v ever played all around. The story is superb It's nothing earthshakingly original, the rise and fall of an antihero who starts climbing the ranks of a criminal organization. Yet it's so well narrated that the elements that can be considered generic get totaly overshadowed by the hole. This situations the player get's thrown into, along with very detailed car handling and very sharp shooting mecanics delivers a excepcional experience. You can really belive that you are a 30' gangster shooting your way out of an anbush in a gas station on the middle of nowhere or speeding away from the police. In conclusion, great characters , story and gameplay make this game a must play for anyone who enjoys 3rd person shooters or is a fan of great stories.
I feel that with this the best game Swery has made, well, maybe not the best but certainly this is the most evenly good game he made. All the aspects of the game are good: nice graphics, good music, interesting story and controls that don't suck (unless you don't like games that are almost entirely QTE). As I said this seems to be a pretty interesting story and it would be a shame that this series got canceled after only two episodes. I think I'v seen a screenshot for the next chapter but that's not a warranty for anything so lets hope this series goes on until the end.
First let me say that for an inde game this is quite an acomplishement. That beeng said, this game is far form perfect: the dialogs are not presented very well. The maps suffer the same problem, they can be very maze like and many of the seccions look the same wich adds to the confusion. Anyway the atmosfere of this game is perfect and the soundtrack is great to (more songs wouldnt have hurt anyway).
This game is pretty cool and very adicting, with nice graphics and a acceptable soundtrack but some tricks are almost impossible to perform on keyboard.
This game might not be the pure horror title that everyone was expecting but its story is very good and the gameplay is not as bad. Yes, its a 3º person shooter but, what did you expected from the people that made Max Payne?
many people might say that this is a underrated gem whith unique gameplay, and they might be right but it clearly is not for me, ¿is it for you?
This was the first "real" game I ever got, a friend of mine lend mi the cd, those were better times. I couldnt get pass the third mission or so but I sill played it like a mudafaka. Cool game nevertheless (or whatever you english speakers say)
