The modern controls do so much for this game, it's crazy. The game is still fun to play after so many years but there are some bugs to be aware of. Platforming is a bit janky as Croc will "stick" to the edge of platforms making precision jumps a bit awkward. The camera is better in this version of the game but doesn't allow you to see where you are jumping. Hit boxes in this game are strange. Sometimes you'll think you dodged a hit only to take damage. This is especially horrible in the last world where you have to dodge a swinging spike ball only to be hit by the thin air. Other than that, the game is fairly easy with a bit of challenge at the very end. The game took me about 3.5 hours to beat casually. I'd wait to get this on sale for half price. $30 is a bit expensive for the title.
