Vanaris Tactics Demo

Couple issues hope not in full game

Reminds me of when I did FFT. Did only first three battles, not sure how much beyond that demo goes. Had a problem where first time, I saved the game before third fight. When I tried running program again on a later date, it forced me to refight first two battles before letting me access savegames. Had a probelm with how in combat, I could not access main menu of any kind, only combat menu.

Hidden Through Time

Good, glitches in online maps

Played through the main campaign, good fun short game. Could be played in a day but I paced myself doing 2-3 maps a day. Not obtained the DLCs though I expect the same from them. Now going through Online Maps, most of the ones I tried are good but I found a couple of errors here. 1 - When you download maps, the filters will not sort them at all so you always get the same 12-13 maps on the first page of downloaded ones. To see others, you have to delete any maps you downloaded and finished or go through the long list of ALL to find the downloaded ones. 2 - Some have visual glitches for unknown reaons. One had 2 homes close together, when I click the nearest home, it also shows some things hidden inside the nearby one and I could not see in the second without clicking the closer one. Some buildings when you click them to see inside, some items outside will appear that were hidden when you could not see inside. Largely a fun game and th online maps despite glitches that you can work around allow longer playtime, you can also design your own maps though I have not tried that.

The Pedestrian

More fun than many Platformers

Not normally my type of game in a while, figuring out the puzzles was WAY more fun than I expected. The unique way some features are made and how you move from one section to another is very entertaining, the ending not what I expected. I fully expect a sequel based on the ending.

Vaporum

Replayable

Currently on my second run. Working towards higher difficulties with different choices and seeing how many achievements I can get. Like a modern steampunk Eye of the Beholder.

The Magister Demo

Interesting but combat problem

Twice I tried to play this demo. Most of it functions fine but anytime I come across a random encounter and get into combat, when I click the button to End Turn nothing happens.

Pile Up! Demo

Not PC friendly

There are two important things I noticed right off. 1 - PC Games have some standard ways of using keyboard and mouse for control. 2 - PC games typically allow you to remap controls including keyboard, mouse, sticks and controllers how a player wants it. This game does not allow remapping of keyboard input forcing you to use default keys., some people may get used to that but by now a lot of PC games offer the ability to remap keys for user comfort No mouse input allowed yet it seems to encourage controller use over keyboard thus comes across more like a console game than a PC one. Strangely I cannot find it available for console, I believe it woud do better on those platforms maybe even mobile.

Titan Quest Anniversary Edition

Needs improvement, missing features

An OK RPG though it does suffer some problems. I wanted to like it for the lore but the problems ruined it, had to uninstall for now after doing the Greek Chapter. Some of the Cons 1 - Sometimes in combat it is hard to target enemies compared to other similar RPGs. Sometimes I try to move to melee combat only to have my character run past the enemy. Much easier how other RPGs that came before this one did it where you click on an enemy instead of an area. 2 - I discovered some item buffs are stronger than others. While elemental resistances have uses against certain enemies, the value of more generic buffs like Health and Energy regen is almost OP making it easy to go against a number of enemies. Poison damage on any weapon is also highly beneficial over most others. Once I got items with these buffs I passed over many others even if those other items gave better stats like armor. 3 - Enemies are imbalanced especially when you get items with the stats I mentioned. I discovered most creatures I could mow through groups of them almost never using potions. At the other extreme some of the unique one-of-a-kind monsters are too strong even early in. Example, you can meet Cerberus early on and he can one shot you even on the easiest mode, I searched and discovered many other players had the same problem. 4 - I do not understand why there are so many unique one-of-a-kind monsters, there is no special benefit to fighting them besides bragging rights, most are not part of any quest not counting the few involved in the main quest. 5 - You can only have 1 game ever saved and it only loads your character at certain locations. Compared to other RPGs that came before it and the features they offer such as NWN, Bladur's Gate and Icewind Dale series, this one lacks a lot of good features.

Zoria Prologue (2020)

Good start

Tried it twice, looks like a promising title, you can give feedback on Steam Forums for better responses. One thing I missed the first time was WELL hidden. Hope a few bugs and some details on how class system works are in final product.

Obduction ®

OK for a run through

Tried since I got it through the free offer. Story seemed to lose me, maybe just not my thing. The ending came off wierd, I did not understand it. Graphically creat, interesting puzzles. Some locations had too long travel times. Seemed to be excess stuff to do for no reason.
