I love this game. Its so close to Star Control 2, but it has its own style. I would LOVE it if there was VO voice acting for this game. Its just lacking a bit in that area, and it would give the aliens so much more life and depth. Along with some animations (even simple) would be great. - I actually write music for games. Dev's hit me up at Qualified Sound Studios, becuase I would love to do this kind of project! ;-) - Anyway. great game so far and I am really enjoying it..
This remaster is basically broken, if you have a 10th Gen Intel CPU. For me, I took a while to play the game, and I was unable to return it to GOG. I can't save games, nor load them, and it has something to do with 10 Gen Intel and at this time there is no patch. However, if you dont have a 10 gen then you will likely be fine, and its a great game. Story and holds up to this day, and what I could play (about 10 min) it was great. But no point playing a game that can not be saved. I wont be purchasing Bioshock 2, not until its a few bucks, just in case that suffers from the same issues.
I cant go into deatail much, due to the fact that the game continues to crash and freeze up visually. I dont know why, but its really stops the enjoyment. Other than that I could see myself really enjoying this game, other than I would like to save it where I want. I dont have hours to play like i used to, sometimes its only for 15 minutes at a time, so I would appreciate being able to save it where I want. Rather than hop in and out of my ship or be back at base etc. Its just annoying for the casual gamer. I wish I could play it more without the crashing, and because you go so long without saving I end up having to do lots of stuff all over again. I would like to see that fixed.
