Imagine Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung created an RPG game based on the works of Edgar Allen Poe and HP Lovecraft and the developer might come up with something like Darkest Dungeon. What I really enjoy the most is the emergent neurosis (and psychosis) of my would-be heroes as they delve deeper into the never-ending horror in the house on the hill you have inherited from a very deranged relative. It's action is light but it does it right and is very rewarding, just keep an eye on that guy with the gun and his neurotic impulses to fire it at anything that moves. You will have to commit many of your heroes into the sanitarium or you can just dump them off in the gutter and get more, it all depends as YOU also succumb to the madness of managing this eldritch horror you have inherited.
