System Shock is back in a stunning return to form, with beautiful visuals that respect the original game's hyper saturated cyberpunk feel. The music is excellent, and the atmosphere is palpable, and the gameplay modernizes a lot of the rough edges from the original while keeping the systemic gameplay intact and compelling as ever!
Terrible dialog? Predictable story? Sub-par graphics? At first I though "how could any game with all of those things be worth playing?" Ten hours later however; I found myself totally engrossed. Despite its flaws, and the harsh comparisons between it and other, better RPGs like Oblivion or Dragon Age, it still manages to be a pretty good game, especially as a first-attempt from Top-Ware.
