Oddworld Stranger's Odyssey is one of thse games that hits you with a nostalgia sledgehammer and makes you ask for more, I can safely say that the core game is still here in all it's majesty. The graphics are a bit sharper and the performance has shot up but everything else is still the masterpiece it was back in 2005 . The issue, and sole reason I've given it 2 stars, is because the control's are almost unusable. It supports modern resolutions and frame rates fine but actually makign a workable control scheme is almsot impossible on both keyboard and gamepad as I've tried both. There may be a mod that fixes some of the jank, such as "confirm" not being mappable by default and instead linked to the bounty button or the inability to move in any direction without first jumping but I really didn't want to scour the internet to fix an issue that shouldn't exist for a game being sold. The bottom line is it is a fantastic game and if you can work through it's quirks you'll get an amazing experience, I however could not.
