Everything about this game screams quality. The isometric graphics are beautiful, the monuments are appropriately grand (in size, presentation, and the sheer satisfaction you get when you finally complete one), the audio is perfectly immersive, and everything has fantastic historical attention to detail. It's one of my favorite games of all time. A quick summary: You guide Egypt through generations of history, starting with subsistence farming in villages of huts, proceeding to larger villages with bits of trade and mudbrick tombs, and finally building grand pyramid complexes while meeting the needs of your mansion-dwelling townsfolk, appeasing multiple gods, and fending off invasions. Egyptian life is presented accurately through the ages (down to the annual flooding of the Nile!), and the result is an exciting, enjoyable city-building game that will keep you occupied for hours and hours.
