This is a enjoyable classic that despite lacking in good graphics it makes up for in gameplay and story. And even though it's not 3D, I still appreciate the environments. Some of the NPCs you group up with are annoying as heck because they say the same things over and over again, but most are likable and there are a wide variety of them to choose from. All in all, it's a good game, and even though it's not essential to play before playing Baldur's Gate 3, it's still a worthy precursor.
