Its a typical 90s FMV Game, bad script, the acting varies between aweful and "well he tried his best" low Budget Effects and not much choices and super short. If you know what to do its finished in 30 Minutes. Unfortunatly there is no logic in the Game and your decisions. You can't know if "Right" is the correct answer, or "Left" you typical have to play it over and over to find that out, that was even bad design in the 90s. The Remaster is quite nice, the Videoquality is suprisly good, the few missing Scenes are handled good with some effects. But is the game worth the $15? If you love terrible Movies maybe, for all others, no. Even if it would have been released in 1995, it would be a terrible game.
The Game itself is a nice Sierra Style Adventure. You can Die in different ways nearly in every Screen. The Story is still quite nice, and the Graphics are good for an 1990 Game But the Game is very Critical with CPU Cycles, so the DOSBox cant play this game correctly, you will get massive Sound Problems. Its nearly unplayable because of them. Even the DOS Original had this Problems. It runs Smooth on a 286 or 386SX, but if you run it on a 386DX or Faster you get the Same sound trouble. Back than you could Push your Turbo Button to make the Computer Slower, but that dont work on Modern Systems or in the DOSBox. its a shame no one did a Quality check here.
English: The Game itself is great, as it was back on the Wii, but what in hell they did to the graphics? It might have higher Resolution, but what they did to the Charakters in the game is just terrible. Cellshading dont dont fit here, those written "Comic Sounds" are also totaly not suitable for this game. Everything else is mostly untouched, Fire, Houses, Rooms, etc looks all Lowdetail as the original on the Wii. I would rather buy the Original one, not the "HD" Version -- German: Das Spiel selbst ist wie das original was für PC und Wii erschien. Aber was hier mit der Grafik veranstaltet wurde spottet jeder Beschreibung. Aus den original Charakteren der damligen Fassung wurden extrem hässliche Cellshading Charaktere gemacht. Bei interaktionen werden, wie in Comics, geräusch als Texte eingeblendet was einen komplett aus dem immersion reisst. Alles andere ist die gleiche Grafik wie schon damals auf der Wii nur in einer höheren Auflösung, nicht einmal wie Darstellung des Feuers wurde überarbeiten. Ich würde eher die original Version kaufen, als diese hier...
I really love this games, but this Versions are not playable On Summer Games you some Disciplies cant be used because they ignores your Space Key, so High Jump and others are not playable over Keyboard. Joystick works. Also Winter Games have the same. Also your Cursor starts to Riot after you play a few Minutes. So you cant Sellect anonther Game. -- German Version -- Ich mag die Spiele ja sehr, aber diese Versionen hier sind nicht Spielbar. Bei Summer Challenge funktioniert die Tastatursteuerung nicht. Gerade bei Hochsprung, Stabhochsprung, Speerwerfen funktioniert das ganze nicht. Man kann den Speer nicht los lassen, der Winkel schlägt immer komplett aus. Beim Hochsprung kann man nicht abspringen usw. Bei Wintergames funktioniert das ganze besser. Allerdings fängt da nach einigen Minuten an der "Disziplinauswahlcursor" munter in der Gegend rumzuspringen... Auf mehreren Computern getestet überall mit dem gleichen Ergebnis. Die Joystick Steuerung funktioniert. Ich bin aber in dem Fall Tastaturspieler
