I expected better - given the hype, the rep, the time in development - but I'm not disappointed either. The Best is the world of Night City: The architecture, the art and the attention to detail, the in-game news and commercial billboards, some good side-jobs. They all contribute to create a vibrant, dystopian, violent, sexually deviant, hyper-technologized world, hopelessly caught between anarchy and ruthless corpo-capitalism, where literally everything is for sale. The Good: - The main story: quite interesting, from premise to development and ending(s). - The music and the voice-acting; - Most side jobs; - Panam Palmers; - Keanu Reeves. Satisfactory: - The gunplay; - The stealth mechanics; - The RPG skill system. Bad: - Too much in-game cinematics; - The user interface: complicated, messy, unclear; - The crafting and the shops: useless, can get better items from loot; - Dumb item scaling system: a bloody tank-top can have more armor than a bullet-prof vest, and a low-level "tech-rifle" can have less damage than a knife; - The driving: horrifically in-controllable, useless inside view, plus no point in buying vehicles; - Overpowered enemies in some areas - local gangsters in T-shirts needing 3 clips in the head to fall; - THE TREES GLITCH !!!
