...but still a fantastic game. Gorgeous, polished, balanced and tons of fun. Still, if I had to buy only one KoF game it would be 97.
Easily the best game in the series.
This is easily THE best fighting game ever created. Everything is perfect, from the character design, to the controls, to the balance, to the secrets... it's a shiny gem. My only issue is that the backgrounds, thematically, were a letdown, compared to the gorgeous backgrounds of 94 and 95.
