Who are you going to meet in the first hours of the adventure?

      Skye
Our heroine still has much to learn from the wisest druids in her grove. Even so, with only her blue cloak and a bag that can hold all the inventory items in the world, she must fight those who threaten her forest.

      Woodland Spirit
Skye will never be alone on her mission. This spirit, who had also once been a druid, will guide the girl through the most difficult moments with his wise advice.

      Tribal chief
As the leader of the druid village, he is tough and unyielding. He's always known how to run people from him, but now he'll need Skye's help.

      Peddler Druid
This dirty looking and hungry druid will try to sell you some of his items on the outskirts of town. Don't trust him.

    Beautiful, but some obvious flaws

I wanted to like this game, but overall it was a bit of a let down. I do hope the authors keep up the good work and improve the points I'll mention in the following. The art style is absolutely fantastic, exactly what I was hoping for, bringing back good vibes from my childhood. The music is okay, it mostly matches the atmosphere. The music playing in the druid hut (one of the early locations, and one you'll visit frequently) is incredibly annoying and should be replaced or simply removed in my opinion. The dialogs are full of typos and incorrect English (the German translation is also done poorly). If the devs want to release a patch, this is something that should be addressed with high priority. I like some amount of 4th walling, but it occurs way too early in the game, at a time when the player is not yet properly immersed in the game world. Many of the puzzles feel random and there are too few hints that nudge you in the right direction if you're stuck (perhaps a matter of taste; this is of course true to the spirit of early point&click adventure games). Besides the choice of language, there is not a single game setting to adjust, like windowed vs. full-screen, font size or text speed. On Linux the game freezes when you Alt-Tab to another window (probably an issue of AGS though. Run "pkill ags64" from your console when that happens to terminate the frozen process). Btw. the same issue also affects "The Castle" by the same company.

    Excellent classic style adventure

"Legend of Skye" is clearly inspired by early 90s adventure games like "Monkey Island" and "Simon the Sorcerer". The puzzles are difficult but quite creative and I had a blast figuring them out. I absolutely recommend it.

    Ok at its best

It's just super inconsistent puzzle design. And half the time you complete the puzzle and don't go "of course", but "yeah, sure." Maybe it's a translation thing, but it thinks it's funny without being funny at all. I'm still intrested in what they do next since it's long and it doesn't feel rushed at the end like most adventures.

    Tedious, mildly funny game

Somehow this game has all the marks of a good game and yet, it still fails completely. I had the feeling from the very beginning that the author grabbed Secret of Monkey Island, copied the art style (not the exact backgrounds, but the style, the color schemes, the dithering), the animation style, the music (not the exact melody, but the dynamics, rhythm, timbre), rearranged them and fit them over a new story. The similarity is to the point that it's actually disturbing. The visuals are actually great, the music is nice, the story is passable, and yet, I don't think it's a great game; it's barely even mediocre. The story isn't really engaging. The jokes are mildly funny at best. The English text has many typos and is somehow weird and unnatural. There's tons of pixel hunting. Most of the puzzles are just inane moon logic - many of the solutions make certain sense after the fact, but there are no hints for most of the puzzles, so it just becomes "try every object with every other object"; to the player most of the puzzles are completely random. There were several situations where I knew what I had to do and had several items in the inventory that would've been (logically) useful to solve a puzzle, but I didn't have the _exact_ item that had to be used. The entire game is frustrating from beginning to end, because most item descriptions are useless. The puzzles must've made sense to the author, because they were thinking about them for a long time, but the player has no context for most of them, because the game doesn't provide most of that context. The puzzles are mostly just really tedious and way-out-there nonsensical. On the positive side, the game was clearly made with care, but with all the good things this game has, I still cannot recommend it.

    Very enjoyable Point&Click adventure!

The game is pretty clever and quite long! There are many references to modern times and other well known adventure gamesincluded, but that is not overdone, luckily. I do remommend!
