It was alright. Feels like it was rushed out the gates yet i backed it from Fig so ive been waiting. So why is it not great? Well for starters its got bugs, oh so many bugs, to name a few; Barely an hour into the game i manage to unintentionally crash the game while making characters leaving me with a 10 man custom made squad when i load back in, some stuck underground. Naturally since they are stuck i cant leave the map so i trim the party down to normal size, but re-adding the 4th premade char in one go keeps crashing the game. Later one of my "Original two" breaks and get borked with some random stat pool, an attribute debt of -7 and no skills so gotta scrap that one. Then there is balance. I finished the game on "Supreme Jerk" and i feel like it was like a "normal" or "easy" compared to oldschool rpgs, i basically used no consumables other than food and injury kits. No drugs, alcohol or any other type of buffing or healing eh cause on supreme jerk armor and health pool is redundant, you get 1 hit regardless and so the tactic brews down to "kill off as many enemies as possible in the first turn" and well, damage scaling gets a bit out of whack with a certain weapon type and build meaning you can quite literally 1hit anything in the game. Yes even armored tanks and bosses. This also means that many other weapons & skills are redundant. Story feels rushed in some places and well crafted in others. Fps is pretty choppy for a isometric game, reckon it could use some optimization. And the loading times. slightly better after patches To end on a good note, some of the story, dialogue and choices are downright brilliant and makes you think that whatever judgement you are going with is a grey shaded palette rather than the "Good" and "Bad" choice. I love the graphical fidelity, the characters and the char creation, the visuals of the weapon and armor is a real joy to behold and huge step-up from its predecessor
