Game maybe old but its still one of the best of its kind. Other clones may have more buildings etc. but dont have the charm of original Banished.
To all those that are saying that this is not Gold Edition, it IS Gold Edition, you just don't know how to start is thanks to how Ubisoft created expansion. There are two separate executable's to start game, one starts Settlers 6 Limited Edition with base campaign and other starts Settlers 6 Easter Realm with expansion campaign. It works the same way as with the original disc release. So basically if you want to play base campaign you start game by pressing Play in Galaxy or by starting Settlers6.exe from base/bin folder (e.g. F:\The Settlers 6\base\bin), if you want to play expansion campaign you need to start it using additional executables (button near Play in Galaxy) or by starting Settlers6.exe from extra1/bin folder (e.g. F:\The Settlers 6\extra1\bin). As far as the game goes, its not like classic Settlers 2/3/4 but it is still quite nice RTS with good graphics even by today standards. Only one thing missing for me is Polish localization, fortunately I have polish version on a disk).
Fun combat, interesting quests and characters, nice soundtrack, overall quite good RPG game. 7/10 in my book. In regards to ppl who write about DRM, there is no DRM, no need to create accounts etc. I installed game using Galaxy and I have no idea what they are writing about.
After few patches the game is playable without major issues even enjoyable I would say ;-) I've waited for this game for few months and in its current state is is quite nice, at the moment: - I've enocountered no crashes - no game breaking bugs after patches (there was at least one on 1.0) - stills some problems with pathfinding - It is possible now to make money (I was unable to do that on 1.0)
