While the stylish backgroungs are very pictorial, the character designs and animation are poor and too cartoonish. The dialogues are bloated and prolix, while focused too much on comedy. For a game where you mostly read, that kills the gameplay. I can't judge the puzzles, because I couldn't get past the tutorial. There's nothing interesting about the world. Also, let me be clear that I'm only playing this because it was for free. I'm really used to my point and click games being pixelated, although I like the smooth standard animation of Broken Sword or the 3D designs of Syberia. But this game are none of those, and with that seemingly high price, honestly I'd never buy it.
Sliding along walls, running backwards (like SOTN), double jumping. These mechanics make the exploration really enjoyable and relaxing. About story, there are very interesting puzzles, that sometimes will fly over your head, but the hints are there. So the puzzles are quite challenging if you make long pauses during your game time. The story itself is simple. I'd say the lore is shallow. The side quests are fun, even if it's just finding items for the villagers. I thought the bosses were a bit generic and not very challenging. The pixel art is great. I love pixel art games. In the end, it was a very fun experience. Even with the cons, I couldn't stop playing it, so it's a 4/5.
