I played this game around the time of its release, and it's been one of my favorites ever since. Ghost Master is like a movie from before the CGI era—it doesn’t rely on high-polygon models, crisp textures, or a hyped-up soundtrack. Instead, it stands out through strong character descriptions, humor, clever references, and engaging gameplay. One of its best aspects is the role reversal: you're not the hero—you’re the antagonist. You collect ghosts, hear their stories, and gradually develop a distaste for “the mortals.” It builds sympathy for the supernatural, which is rare in games. Are there flaws? Sure. Graphically, it shows its age. But that fades within minutes. The sound design, writing, and gameplay hold up, especially if you enjoy strategy games with a sense of humor. To me, this is one of the most underrated games ever made. It deserved more success—and a sequel. A remaster feels unlikely, but I still hope. If you like horror, comedy, strategy, and a touch of the macabre, play this game. You probably won’t regret it.
