The good: The world seemed like it contained enough depth to maintain interest. The bad: Pretty much everything else. The graphics seem old, generic and uninspiring. Serviceable at best. I haven't gone deep enough into the game to truly learn the combat system, but what I did get to find out consisted mostly of blocking and button smashing the 2 attack buttons. The animation looks ridiculous. From the way the protagonist runs with his arms spread wide, to the tiny brick jump he makes when you press Space. The UI is fine. It looks awful and consits of a single generic blue colour, but it's relatively understandable when navigating, and it lays out what information you need. The dialog is inconsistent and extremely limiting in what it lets you say. Not going to expand on that. A single gameplay video should suffice. The voice acting is probably the worst I've seen in a video game yet. It seems like Gothic's actors have gotten even worse with the years. Conclusion: Within 28 minutes into the game I've realized I absolutely cannot keep playing. The writing, dialoge and voice acting are SO bad it's almost laughable. The level of cringe is so high, the protagonist is so boring, and the combat system is so shallow that I was honestly shocked this game had more than 2 stars rating. An insult to anyone who ever loved RPG's.
