I liked, like many other, previous games from SW but this one is just awfully unfun. It is just worse in so many aspects, needlessly clunky, even compared with older titles. Building up the Fortress sounded interesting at first but the execution is just abysmal. The flow is sooooo hindered, you cant even buy health potions, no, you have to find bottles to refill! How would such an alchemist shop even work! Everything is dumbed down but it doesn't improve the flow, in the contrary. Thanks, but no!
I quite liked the first Thea and was hoping this will be a refined version of it, and some progress is done. Finally a little bit of customization traits wise and portrait, althoug I'm still no friend of the semi RNG progress. Then no zoom, just bound to this smal section. It's strategy, isn't it? So I would like to have an overview, it doesn't imerse me more when I have to move around clunky. And the whole crafting part, stil picking up each ingredient and placing it, maybe fun the first few times but gets repetive and annoying pretty fast. Same with moving around, click, click click, click, click sorry just awful UI. I really hoped you learned that from Thea 1. And then again the pure lack of information, sometimes even less than in Thea 1. Moral is such an example, what!? how does this work? Or battle, even slower than before even it feels a bit more streamlined, but hell, still barely clear how your team will perform in each situation, to have a move order but aswell different initiatives etc? why then not just one of it? Do you want to make it a tactical rpg battle or a card game? make a decision for one. The whole cloning feels off. Why does a skill grant you additional attack power from your own clone, that clone has then the same attacke value like the original card, that got boosted by itself and then the skill description says +1 but the creature gets +2 from any additional card played!? What? Why? Why the whole cloning anyway? I really wish MUHA Games all the best and lots of success, I really like that they something different and I had my joy with Thea1, but Thea2 is still unfinished, is terribly slow, tedious, not really thought through, lacks information and is just not worth my time, as much as I would like it otherwise.
I came back after a long time. Last played in the Beta, wasn't perfectly balanced back then but it was great fun. Many cool abilities and tactics, lot's to try out and master. Building a Deck around the key skill of a leader. But now, all dumbed down to generic abilities, damage a bit, boost a bit and so on. But nothing incredible. Just bland and boring compared to before! Sorry, just lame...
I kinda like the game, at least the idea of it, but it's just not finished by now. So many bugs, none CTD for me but it's really annoying. What annoys me the most are the long loading times, to start it, from the travel map into a location, just camping takes its loading time, from the throne room into the kingdom management, from kingdom management to city building screen, all the way back again, from throne room to the city, back to the travel screen. Loading, loading, loading and never ending of loading screens. Almost half of the game time is spent there. And as you have to learn a lot by the hard way you will reload a ton! Ant that's another problem, you have to make so many decisions without any or barely any information. It's basicly just guessing. The problem with the random encounters is not that they are imbalanced, it's that you have no clue what you will meet. You just can sometimes choose if to fight or avoid. It's not capable to tell you if you see 4 Kobolds or 3 Acient Elemtals before hand. Or what kind of impact your advisors have or which one to take with after chapter 1. Or you are in a location made for about lvl 6 onwards, but there are absolutely ridicules enemy groups that just whipe your group in seconds. Seriously, why should you expect that a F***** Owlbear has godlike strength, +14 bonus, and a total of 2d6+24 of damage, with the +28 to attack is it just nuts! Seriously, that's just awful level desing! Safe a lot! You regret it otherwise! This game is made for Min/Maxing your Characters, otherwise you bite the dust on regular basis! But with the lack of information of how to progress your Character you just hope you didn't make the wrong choices. And of course it doesn't help that the choices they made for your companions are abysmal and that you just try to get them into shape over several levels so they become useful. The ridicules price you have to pay for a custom companion isn't helpful. Please fix the loading times and infos!!!!!
