Cyberpunk 2077

Sorry, it IS awesome

Dear fellow players, some points I have to mention after quite some hours: Yes, it has its bugs and glitches but I am totally hooked by the story and the details CD Projekt put into this game. There is just so much to explore it is mindboggling. And the main quest plus the side quests combined are worth every penny. The story branches that are available... man.. for example with River, the former NCDP member, where you try to safe his family, or Pan Am, where you steal a train and sit around a campfire to elaborate on the meaning of life... and so on... and many other of the stories that unfold beside the main story line, are very similar to the best side quests of Witcher 3 (which I played 200 hours +). I just don't get how you can not just stare in awe at this piece of art even with all of its problems. It is a marvellous achievement put together here. And roaming around this vast city is just super immersive. I am confident that with every patch it gets closer and closer to another milestone of video gaming. Yes, it feels old school and you shouldn't expect a revolution in game mechanics. Everything has been there before but the mix of it all is just marvellous fun for hours and hours. Anyhow, too much complaining all around from people who have no idea how hard it is to put a meaningful, immersive, believable virtual world together. Rather complain about the F key that should be re-bindable to the G key and giving it then a 1 star rating. In my mind, this must come from a corner where you are already over saturated with THE WORLD OWES ME SOMETHING BECAUSE IT PROMISED IT WOULD so pretty please, with sugar on top, go fuck yourself. Be kind, and acknowledge the work that has been put in here. I really really really like it so far. Thank you for this experience. Looking forward to more....

Owlboy

Love at first and second sight.

It takes 10 minutes to understand that a lot of thought and passion went into this game. Every couple of minutes you are surprised by a new twist in the narrative, by an additional gameplay mechanic, by some surprising element. That keeps you going on and on. The music for me plays a big role in this game. It pulls you to this world and fits just perfectly. Sometimes, the pixel animation reminded me a lot of the Lucas Arts Adventures. The controls are well thought through and executed very well. The most refreshing thing for me is the flying mechanic which makes the game just 100% more vertical and interesting than any other platformer out there. Up, up, up you go. Great story. Great graphics. Great sound. Great controls. A great adventure action game.
