To play the Fallout franchise, you have to have an incredible appetite for RPGs. The turn-based game-play, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. leveling system and character setup can be frustrating to some people. I am no exception. I didn't pick the right stats, and the game has been much more frustrating than it could have been. Wide, expansive universe, kill-anything-anytime-anywhere-and-loot-their-body abilities are a MAJOR plus, as some RPGs have your attack abilities confined to hostile units only. Black Isle has also released the game Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader. Another fantastic title released sometime after Fallout 2, with improved game-play. Fallout 2 is a fantastic game, but I must warn any non-RPG buffs against this title, as it will frustrate the living hell out of you.
There's a reason you don't see this game much anymore. And I find out the hard way. I love classic shooters and RPG's, but this game was HORRIBLE. I wouldn't reccomend anybody waste their money on this. Crappy graphics, weak weapons, and "boringness" made this title a game that I have only bothered myself to play 4 or five times. DON'T BUY IT!!!
