Is this the best RPG of all time? (November 202) Perhaps so. In many ways this is an old fashioned RPG, its pretty much isometric and is pretty hard. However it doesnt have the clunky UI of old RPG. It looks and sounds really nice. The voice acting and script are very good, some of the best. The combat system can be tiresome but is very flexible with lots of character building choices, the best thing is the turn based combat which instantly makes the game feel like Pen and Paper RPG. Some encounters are very difficult especially if you have a sub-optimal characters and you will need to reload and retry encounters with different strats. Quests are mostly well written and sometimes with surprising outcomes. If you choose to do all the side quests (you kind of need to to gain enough XP and good gear) there are many hours of gameplay in a single play through, I'd guess 70+ hours. Multiple playthroughs with different character builds are well worth it. As is the cooperative multiplayer which is good fun.
