Lust from Beyond: M Edition

----- Because of the censorship, it only gets three stars; the rest has been adjusted accordingly to maintain logic. The game itself is quite OK. It's a horror game with bare skin. Perhaps that's why it's a bit more hyped. It starts with puzzles that require looking at and using various objects. The combat system is only basic, so the most common way to escape is to run away. Regarding the "Not Mature" M Edition: Yes, this is the censored version. Everyone in Germany, for example, must be aware that the USK will not allow an uncut version - not only of this game. GoG also offers the original, but not in Germany! Therefore, criticizing this game for this reason is out of place. I must admit, however, that the censorship should be clearly marked.

Lorelai

Story focused, without ratatatat

I like playing games because of their story not mechanics. The sad thing is that the storytelling of most games is very shallow. Maybe a lot of people want action games were you walk around, collect loot or just shoot everything that gets in your way. I don`t. Thus Lorelai is exactly what I`m looking for - an interactive movie. To me it is a mix of the following gernes: crime / adventure / phantasy with a pinch of horror and a lot of sadness. The nature of an interactive story leads you to interact with people and solve a few puzzles - like in point and click adventures. There seam to be also a few points in the story where you can decide about your actions, so it`s not completely linear I gues. To me this is a perfect idea for an interactive story. At the moment I can`t tell more about this, because I`ve only played it throught once. So, if you also like story telling games go buy it, otherwhise have a look for something else. I used a 360 gamepad. Took me almost 8 hours to play through. Due to my old gfx card (R7 370) I moticed one or two missing textures. The rest seamed OK.
