System Shock® 2 (1999)

A masterpiece

Please, for the love of god, buy this game. It's story is fantastic and filled with twists and turns at every corner. It's atmosphere is mysterious and terrifying, it's a very creative RPG that encourages you to spend your cyber modules (or exp.) wisely so that you can progress faster, and there's so much to this game that you have to check out! But a word of advice, you might want to spend time with the controls before picking this up... but other than that, its a great game! :)

Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™

Blood never tasted so sweet!

This game is a heartfelt story-driven RPG set in the World Of Darkness universe that perfectly blends a pen-and-paper RPG with stealth and combat elements that feel challenging and refreshing. The dialouge and voice acting is great, the characters feel very fleshed out, what you do matters in the world, multiple endings, loads of quests, and great graphics for the time period it released in. It's world will suck you in and bite you straight in your ass if you do anything bad or good. There are many solutions to quests and the endings, all though very cut in and short due to the game's troubled launch, which you can learn more about here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire:_The_Masquerade_%E2%80%93_Bloodlines and there are loads, and I mean LOADS of bugs. Luckily, GOG patched it and it practically runs like a dream. Please, go out and buy this flawed gem. It's worth every second of your time and has tons of replayability and has a large modding community. Buy it now!!!!! :P

System Shock Demo

Very promising

I've never played the original System Shock and I've played a bit of the System Shock 2, not liking it all that much, even though, I'm a huge Bioshock fan. But, I noticed the demo and now that System Shock is starting to get lots of love and attention, I decided to try it out. First off, the graphics are beautiful. Secondly, the pick-up animations when finding certain items reek of Bioshock, which made the game feel better and more realistic. 3rd, it nailed the creepy atmosphere and my heart jumped out of my throat at times. 4th, it's very simple and not as complicated as SS2. The complexity of SS2 turned me off, but I will definitely be playing more of SS2 after playing this and give it another chance. My only complaint was that it was a little short fr a demo, and could've shown off a little more... but other than that give it a try and see what you think of it. I definitely enjoyed it and I will try and support this game on Kickstarter. I'm sure fans of the first will definitely enjoy. Thank you for reading my first GOG review. I'm trying to use this platform a lot more. :)
