Yes, this game has no deep story, the graphics are quite lame, the voice acting is bad, it is repetitive and linear. But the world they have designed and the fights were interesting enough to be enjoyed and I remember having especially fun with just running through the game with enabled cheats. :D I really liked the setting, the monsters, the lovely soundtrack and the overall atmosphere. There is lots of diversion in the design, you fight through large forests, ice areas, a dwarven city, deep and almost endless tunnels... (that was quite a weak part of the game, felt artificially stretched, but was plausible on the other hand, too ^^ ) and the spells were creative and well done. There were also a few secrets to be found, if you looked around carefully. So.. you might not understand that, but I enjoyed this trashy game and I had a good time with it. I even consider it one of my favourite games. Definitely not top-ranked, but one of them. So is it worth the money? I think for that price, you can give it a shot.
Wow, that is a real surprise. I had this one on CD when I was much younger. All those memories.. it had lots of nice humor and a very fantastic world to explore. I found some of the puzzles pretty challenging, I think - but I was a child. For quite a while I tried to remember the name of this game, but I was unable to find it - so big thanks to you, gog! Insta-buy. ;)
