It does not ever properly handle some GPUs. But this game is a masterpiece of level design, puzzles, climate, music and sfx. Sacrifice time to run and configure it and you will be rewared with the best possible Star Wars action shooter game. They don't do such games anymore.
I have been playing with TheForceEngine. It's ok, but this one paid is just better. First, there is out of the box controller support. Works great on MSI Claw. Second, all graphics (hud, sprites) are consistent high res and quality. Menus are great, options are well thought. The only thing missing is better MIDI support, like AWE or Roland SC-55.
Together Half-Life 2, these games shaped 2nd generation of action shooters. The game is quite easy, checkpoints for the most part are well defined. I prefer to play this game for 50th time than new boring tiktok/fortnite generation games.
Didn't finished this game 20 years ago, and now I remember why I hate it. NPCs are bullet sponge with god mode. In churche mission oponents never ever miss a shot. However, game has nice level design, but not worth the mental health.
This game is doing every gameplay mechanic wrong. Bad camera work, enemies are punch sponge, overcomplicated controls, unresponsive player actions "deadblocking" on enemies. Irritating as hell. I did not complete this game 20 years ago, and I will not complete it today. Thanks, I had enough :D
