I know the nostalgia is high on such titles but believe me when i say this game is even more fun than the original. I still have my original genesis cart but this one has surpassed it, thanks to the many tweaks and additions that have been made to the game. I have been playing it since the alpha since i was a backer on kickstarter and helped shape those updates and while it was already fun right at the start of alpha, the game has evolved into a well polished gem of an arcade game. The dynasty mode seems really inspired by Speedball 2's league mode and has that same "build a team of winners from a low end one" spirit. You start very underpowered and will lose at first but if you focus on improving and getting your guys some xp, then you will be fine. Overall (tl;dr): The game is really fun and there are plenty of options for you to tweak the settings to your liking. If you like arcade games with fast gameplay and gore or games like Blood Bowl (in real time) or Rocket League, you'll love this. The anouncer is great, unlike what some might have said, and has more varied lines than in Madden or Blood Bowl. And graphics are pretty damn great for such a small team, imo. With everything set to full, the game looks good.
