There's a reason this went from being a minigame to a full release. The puzzle solving and strategy is fundamentally different from a lot of other card games, and the free to play experience is worth the time to get invested. Trying out a netdeck and experimenting with your own synergies in matchmaking are both fun, and there is no blatant tier 1 at casual play.Even key word piles and "I like this card and this card" decks do okay. If you like deckbuilding and want five to ten minute strategic games, try it.
If you can get over the poor pathfinding, slow unit response time, and generally unreliable unit AI you'll find yourself in an incredibly varied strategy game that is a blast with friends and can be played like Diablo, Warcraft, or anything in between. Probably not balanced, but fascinating to play.
