I purchased this game specifically for a multiplayer session with some friends. Before the day, I downloaded it, installed it, made sure it ran, and played through the tutorial to familiarise myself with the controls. I double-checked that the game description on GOG said that it was compatible for cross-play with the Steam version. I was being careful, or so I thought, to ensure that I wouldn't hold people up by not being ready to join the server. Then, on the day, I opened the multiplayer menu to join the server ... and the "join game" button was greyed out. No explanation, no mouseover hint as to why this might be the case. For completeness, I went through the convoluted process of hosting a game - going through a painful tutorial on starting a game, making my friends wait all the while, to reach the point where I had an active game that I could turn into a multiplayer session ... only to find out that option was disabled, too. I purchased this game to do one thing - join a multiplayer session - and it wouldn't let me do it, and wouldn't even give any indication why.
