One of the best games that I've played

This is an amazing game that gets you up close and personal with the world of economics and politics (and politicians). As a newly elected president of the state in turmoil, you have to solve piling problems of your country: recession, poor education and health systems, refugees and minority problems, corruption inside your ranks and potential aggression from the neighbours. All that in the form of a well-written novel full of meaningful and hard choices (you can think of "House of Cards"), unlike some almost abstract social models from the "Democracy" series. Thus, having all of the economical and political tapestry explained at this level is really helping to understand how the system works and how early decisions may (very logically) backfire later in the changing circumstances. How every decision comes at a price and how difficult it is to persuade all sides of conflict to your cause. Also the depiction of a personal life of the main character helps to relate more to the "human side" of the game (The Minister of Justice is so nya! ^_^ (sorry)). In many troubling aspects the country portrayed in this game is similar to my own, so I can relate a lot to what happens in the narrative. But I think it's a great educational material for everyone who wants to get a better feel of how "Economics rules" (there's a book by that name). But it's not without flaws, unfortunately. Trying to merge a story with a realistic economic model made the game inconsistent for me in the end. On my first run I was having 16% GDP growth, small and medium businesses flourish, unemployment down from 20 to 5%, corruption and organized crime almost eradicated, advanced education and good health systems, minorities and women rights support, I had won party elections BUT still got protests AND was couped by the military. Wut? Still, the game got me hooked right from the start, and I'd say it's one of the best out there!

Average

Hoped for something like "Cinders meets Android: Identity Trilogy", found cliche-rich anime fiction story with very weak and faulty use of science. Still, as an anime veteran and AI-theme lover I appreciate the effort. 3,5/5
