I loved the story to this, it was a very enjoyable, epic-feeling pair of quests. I loved the resolution. I also found it beautiful and MOST of the puzzles to be very rationally thought out (many adventure games have oddly arbitrary solutions, I find), so even as someone with little experience of the genre I actually did ok. Just be warned that this is a sequel and it feels very, very much like one - though they do their best to play catch up.
I did love this game - right up until the ending. It's got in depth characters, the game-play is fun, the twitch is good, the story satisfying... for the first 3/4 of the game. And then... it changes. It feels like the designers ran out of time. It's unfortunate.
