Baldur's Gate 3

High fantasy and flexibility adventures.

This is a very well made RPG. Plenty of options for character creation, as well as pre-sets that are also established characters who join your party anyway, as well as ways to tweak your character thanks to the class systems, all based on 5th Edition D&D. This is a long, well thought out game, with plenty of ways to go through it even if the core acts generally will start and finish in only a handful of ways, but many choices have longer term ramifications, which is impressive to see. Many fights can be avoided, and the game engine allows for a lot of outside-the-box thinking and strategies. The story is solid, the characters pretty well written overall. It's quite long. There's also a lot of random chance elements, so whether you're willing to accept bad outcomes due to bad dice rolls, or whether you save-scum your way through is up to you, but there's specifically a push towards luck that you can only partially control, so be advised. Definitely a very good game, and well worth your time if you like bigger RPG's with which to sink your teeth into.
