Frostpunk 2

rough gemstone

Unfortunetly, I can't say that I have a good time with this sequel. My rating is 3.5 stars. I'm in the third chapter and restarted a few times on officer. I wil list only the things I don't like (stars do the rest). Here are the reasons: - micro to macro: in the first opus, you needed to manage each and every person in the colony, now you do it the macro way: in bulk, which I dislike a lot. - the district system is a good idea, but managing them is a hassle (or at least I did not see a resumé window for them) - quite often you find yourself in a very dire situtation without even knowing why.Informations are not very easy to find. - time is now mainly in weeks, but ressources are managed in days which can be quite confusing. The previous point are mainly why I don't enjoy the game. It lost it's keystone, wich is a sense of empathy, resilience, despair and hope. Now you manage a growing city in bulk, without a sense of duty or survival: if you fail, that's it, reload ; if you pass, good, to the next objective. - tutorial is not intuitive -pop-up windows are in the way when construting districts - no résumé windows for nothing - the story is continuous, wich mean you cannot choose at wich chapter you want to start (I hate repeat the prologue...) All in all the game is not bad at all, and is quite beautiful. Some new mechanics are interesting. But as I said, it lost it's keystone.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

average

I don't write in my main langage so please excuse me. I will point out the main things that ticks me good or bad: First : the story. Appart for the main caracter, which is the last boss, the mongrel, the queen, the succubus, the assassin and the only demon lord we can work with, all others are pretty bland characters. Second: narration text and overs They are bland too. Take a monocord voice and read your favorite book with it : you''l understand what I mean. Third: Graphism They are gorgeous, way better than the previous opus. Fourht: combat system Well, I can't blame the devs for using D&D5, but it's really not my cup of tea. It feels boring and you don't sense the power gained, even with the mythic system. Sometimes you get whiped out for nothing. Spells are useless mostly since resistance against them is superior than your ability in most cases, rendering spells like laughing and imaginery assassin pretty much useless. Also, why stop the growth of characters at 20? It's rendering the unfinished quest and comabt greatly inappiling. Finally fith: mythic system Without that, the game would be plenty boring. It let you incarnate the parangon of one out of ten archetypes (based mostly on the moral system). It increases replayablity a bit, bu since a game is a 50-100h, you must have quite the patience to play ONLY for that... Conclusion All in all, the game is pretty average, with some unreasonable choices, particularly on stories.

Sheltered 2

a not so good sequel

All in all this game keep and repeat the core gameplai of the firt opus. That's good. But that's all. Good ideas and difficulty are not here at all. Even if the game a brand new graphism, I prefer the pixel-like in the first, wich add a sense of disturbing/no hope to the world. Bugs, especially the one which bug the end of a combat, are quite game-breaking. Spoiler Also the comptetion between factions is a VERY bad idea, since the game is focused on taking lands, but for what purpose ?! It's not a 4x game or a strategy game. The game is about survival, and I don't know how claiming lands wil help in that with the actual game mechanics. There's a lot to say but I don't want to write an essai, so let just stop here and say: the game is bad in comparaison to the previous one.

Scrapnaut

basic

Very linear game with no real story. Craft is very limited as explanation on each item. I can't recommend it since it become very boring around 5h of play.

Planet Nomads

nothing to see

This game is a mix of Subnautica and space engineers... without all their qualities. You can create vehicles, but without proper understanding on it work (especially about thrust vs mass). There is a story but it's average, and since vehicles are anoying and very slow, there is no pleasure in exploring the planet. You can try this game but be aware the beginning is the only part witch is fun.

Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition

Another waste

This game is just a copy/paste of dead island, with graphic update. It's a very boring game.
