I completed the game because i dont like to leave something uncompleted and i bought it in a sale and because i remember that everyone hyped that game in the past. I realized quickly, that once again it was a good idea to buy games only when they are in a sale. The gameplay is linear and pretty boring, you keep shooting the same stupid AI enemies over and over while someone tells you to do the things he wants you to. The plasmids are almost entirely useless because the weapons are more than strong enough, especially with upgrades, while plasmids are generally weak and extremely ammo-limited. The controls are pretty bad because you have to fiddle with weapons and plasmids and at some point you have 8 guns and 6 plasmids to throw at your enemy which gets you confused. The story is pretty crazy and implausible. The weapon sounds are a joke, you dont feel like firing strong guns, it feels like airsoft with fancy effects. On the other hand the level design is pretty detailed and beautiful, most other sound effects are relatively good and the game is not unfair or unbalanced and the graphics is decent.
This game has bad graphics, bad sound design and terrible gameplay. The AI is pretty dumb, the missions are completely linear and scripted through and through. There are even some situations where you get killed by a script when you dont walk in the exact direction where the game wants you to... Also the collision detection is very bad, some objects have invisible collisions that absorb shells and enemies in cover do not suffer any damage because their collision detection gets disabled when they are in cover, so even if you can shoot their heads, they will never die unless you flank them, which is what the game wants you to do... Considering this game released 2005, it is very sad and definitely not good.
