FixFox

Foxes, spaceships, band-aid on heart <3

A lot has been said in the other reviews... It's so lovely, cozy, relaxing and funny... And so heartwarming <3 From the very first moment I opened the main menu, I was hit by very strong Firefly TV show vibe, the music, story with on the difficulties on the daily life in the space and not fighting aliens or saving the humankind... (If you don't know Firefly, go and watch it, it's the best damn show in the 'verse.) Then a whole lot of MacGyver gets added, because you have to fix all sorts of broken stuff with a spatula, cookie or strawberry band-aid... And then spice it up with a tasty food like a porridge with butter and cocoa... The devs basically took my childhood and made it a game. I've loved the main character, Vix, the fox Spacer mechanic, from the very first moment. She (my Vix was she) her own clancy space-ship, she's messy (Who keeps her snacks in the bookshelf and her tools in the fridge?) but clever and she can fix anything, from a broken toaster to broken friendships and memories... And I just loved to ride with her on her speeder over the desert and then get in a sleeping bag by the fire. Story-wise, there are two main intertwined themes; fixing a beacon on the planet you crash on so you can call home, and a story of two brothers who grew apart. My only reproach to the story is that sometimes I felt like a side character in the story of two brothers. However, it is very good and rewards you for your patience. And eventually, the story end... and the other end... and the other other end totally broke me and made me cry. And I am still in tear the day after I've completed the game... And I never cried playing a PC game before. Should you play it? Yes, if you want something lovely and quirky, not too challenging but still want it to touch your heart.
