Played this forever, until I no longer had an XP machine... Recently learned about gog, saw they had it and it was on sale! No brainer! I installed the offline version onto my windows 10 machine. Tried to run it the first time and it went black, but I wasn't expecting immediate success given the comments on here. The fix was EASY, as I saw referenced by AethrynX17, they listed two steps, but the first one was all it took for me: 1. Go to game folder and run 'dxcfg' change the display resolution to 1024 x 768, and set the 'presentation' option to 'Windowed'. Save the settings here by clicking the button, and then exit. Try loading up the game before proceeding to the next step. If it still does not work try step 2 below. Been playing into 6 missions now not even a single hiccup! Also tested skirmish as I like to setup my own scenarios, perfect! I will be upgrading that machine to Windows 11, if there are any issues, Ill update this or create a new one. Thanks gog!
