CivCity: Rome

Enjoyable but too often reptitive.

Overall a fun little game with a decent campaign but not very repayable due to the repetitive nature of each mission. But the games downsides become too noticeable: - Noticeable glitches with workers can occur especially with more modern operating systems. This can lead to workers being unresponsive. - Research is EXTREMELY repetitive. Rarely does it add much depth instead you will often find yourself doing nothing on later missions as you are just waiting for research after research to finish as they are necessary for for higher civilization ratings, happiness etc. Some campaign missions should start with at least some of the basics researched so you aren't researching the same thing again and again. - Placement of monuments, gardens, fountains etc. even wonders and most of your temples is often best done absurdly out of the way. As one of the key components of the game is making sure your productive buildings are within range of each other the best strategy for buildings that give a flat bonus is to place them in otherwise unusable terrain far away from your actual city with as little interaction with your populace as possible.
