Soldier of Fortune is not just one of the best and most significant games in Raven's library, it's also one of the best FPS games from its time period. The GHOUL system is unbelievably satisfying, weapons look and sound great, and the story is exactly as stupid as you'd want from a B-movie-inspired action game. Raven even managed to make a sewer level which doesn't suck; that is, on its own, enough to add at least one star to any review. I think I still rank Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force slightly higher as far as Raven games go, because I'm a big Star Trek fan, but it would not have existed without Soldier of Fortune. This is an absolute must play.

Alpha Protocol is unfinished, unbalanced, and unpolished. It's also one of the most fascinating games ever made, with a deep commitment to reactive storytelling which remains, imo, completely unmatched even to this day. The characters are all unique, memorable, and always have more to them than meets the eye. The only problem is that actually *playing* the game bounces between the experience of a slapstick comedy and the experience of dental surgery without anestesia. Still, if you can tolerate the layers of jank and bugs, it's absolutely worth playing, and you will not forget it.

Ion Fury is one of the best FPS games I've ever played. It's a brilliant game with fantastic level design, a solid if slightly pedestrian arsenal, and a wonderful sense of personality. On top of that, it has also now pissed off a bunch of perpetually offended reactionaries who can't seem to understand why randomly dropping homophobic slurs with no justifying context into a game is wrong and who don't seem to understand that transphobia is bad, mkay? Trans women are women, love is love, this game is amazing, and now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go play Ion Fury. <3
