Take a look at all games that have been released over the last 3 years. Every game (and I do mean EVERY GAME) gets released in a mess and is built up with patches. When it comes to the reviews I have read, it seems like most people are in denial about where we are in gaming. Some are in the camp that BG III needs to be just like BG 1 & 2 to be relevant. (If you want more BG1 & 2 go play BG 1 & 2) Others believe a full amazing game should be the only thing released. (Yes I agree with this but we have to be realistic in 2021. Early Access is the norm in 2022) A couple complain about the females not being hot? Lol I mean Female "Hotness" is subjective, but I am sure they will eventually add customization to change the appearance of your party members. Anyway determining if a game will make it to the finish line in Early Access is sort of like running a background check for a candidate for an employment position. You get references and work history, which Larian has a STELLAR reputation. While the EA's and the Activision are busy ramming a 12 incher up their customers back end, Larian was putting out amazing games in the Divinity series. I do think they deserve our trust, that they are going to complete a great game. Trust is everything in gaming, and you only have it once with one mistake destroying it forever. Larian has gone 25 years without breaking their audiences trust. That says a lot to me. I say give it a purchase once you have some extra money, and just keep it on standby. I have no doubt it will be worth the wait!

Don't have anything else to add to the other reviews. Just wanted to add that the Russian Developer of this game. Actually got involved with the Pirating community, to answer questions, help new players and encourage people that liked the game to please purchase. He even and released a bunch of bonus content via torrent. Just felt this point may encourage people to purchase this game if they are on the fence about it. I am always for supporting devs who don't act like tyrants. AWESOME DEV!
I am not particularly interested in this game, but what I am interested in is, people having the option to play any game they want to. I don't care if people don't like the subject matter. I do not support liberals and their crusade to cancel everything. I will not support the other side, "holier than thou" attitude. If you don't like the content, don't look at it. Stop trying to shame people that do like this type of game.
So GOG strikes again by releasing a game, in secret I guess because I had no idea this was out. I like to buy multiple copies of games I like but I think the developer is defunct, so just one copy this time. To sum up the game simply, imagine either Gothic, Risen or The Divinity Saga (The one that got released before Divinity: Original Sin got big), now add The Dark Eye RPG setting and you have this game. The graphics are early PS3 (it did come out originally in 2009) but that matters little to me, it is a ton of fun for the price tag and if you are an American like me, you have to take Dark Eye where you can get it, because Germany is hogging all the Dark Eye! :( Quick Side Note: If you like you RPG's with romance, don't go into this one with that as your focus. Your romancing options are A) The witch who looks like she is having a bad herpes outbreak and hasn't showered in years. or B) Your sister...... (Hot sister) but still your sister. If you are one of the ones that goes by Porntube to check out the "Sis snuck into my room naked so I gotta teach Sis a lesson" vids then.... well... ya know... Nobody judging anybody here! :D So in closing if you are looking for a simple fun 30 hour adventure in the Dark eye Universe, than this is for you! Even if you are grossed out by the sister romance, just role play that your mage sister is actually the head of an order of Female Waifu mages and she plans on setting you up with them after you save the world!
