Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Still one of the best

The graphics and gameplay might be slightly outdated, but the lore and writing are just so good, it's like an excellent movie in which you determine how it plays out. Especially the companions are done extremel;y well.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

When gaming becomes an interactive novel

Just wanted to shout out for the quality of this game, after reading an interview with joint-CEO Adam Kiciński telling about the somewhat disappointing sales of this game. This game deserves to be huge. It reminds me of the legendary old-school HoMM3 in many ways. Except that the creatures are represented by GWENT-cards. So the Gwent-battles are excellent (maybe somewhat too easy at times, but you can control that yourself by using a more challanging deck and not some OP-deck), just like most of the puzzels using these cards are a fun twist that break the regular gameplay. Some puzzles are quite hard, especially in the first stages. But nothing impossible to crack. Biggest plus is the story-telling. Playing this game is like reading a book on the Witcher-universe in which you make key decisions that will question your own sense of morality and justice. The only negative for me was the amount of time the AI needed to make its next move in certain battles (only on Bonebreaker difficulty). All in all, highly recommended!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine

The Best just got Better

This DLC is so good, that I feel guilty for only having paid 20 euros for it. PRO: - Beautiful new and vibrant world to explore, with new characters , types of monsters, weapons, horse armor and an entire new Gwent set (god I love Gwent)! Resulting in 40+ hours of gameplay. What more do you need? - Changes in the game's details. The people of an abandoned site who don't just barge in as soon as an area is liberated, but they come after a day or so, for example. The voice acting of NPCs is also less repetitive. - The inventory screen has received a cool overhaul. As well as the HUD. - New atmospheric music. CON: - Nothing so far. Conclusion: CDPR looked at every detail they could improve from an already great game and made it better. That's why you should buy this DLC.

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus

Thank God for Quick Save!

Well, where to start? This game is a puzzle-adventure like I have never experienced again after Oddysee and Exodus. It brings you puzzles, but in such a fun and unconvential way, that you can't stop playing the game. Not only the puzzles, but also the humour made this game a classic. I still have an original copy of the game, but it doesn't work on XP. So thank you very much GOG!! Btw, when I played it five years ago, I did rescue ALL 300 MUDOKANS! I was so proud of myself. Sadly the reward for this was rather disappointing (just some artwork). But truly, if you have some brains and a good sense of humour, this game should be yours! Cheers and enjoy!
